IUI #1--done!

 I had my first (ever!) IUI today and it went smoothly. I triggered last night at 9:30pm and went in today at 1 for the procedure. Post wash, the sperm count was 50 million with 93% motility. I asked my doc if that was ok, good or great and he said they like to see anything over 10 million, so great! But he did say that doesn't increase my chances, it doesn't like give me a 5 times greater chance of conceiving--drats!

I go in tomorrow in the morning for IUI #2 and then it's the dreaded 2ww. I can't believe we're already at this point!

Yes it is! I was freaking out because I thought for sure all the sperm came out but according to Dr. Google, the sperm cannot leak out since the cervix is closed. Whew.

yeah i remember googling too....doesn't seem like it should be like that....but i guess it's the same principle.

Woohoo, lots of baby dust to you!! That seems like a great count, I know mine were only 10 or 12 million (frozen sample).

You would think that have 5x the number of sperm increases your chances at least a little, I wonder why it doesn't.

Thanks everyone! I'm in the waiting room as we speak, waiting for IUI #2. The pressure I have been feeling since Monday from the follicle being so big is definitely gone as of this morning so I'm thinking I've ovulated already. Hoping those sperm do their thing!
